Polyethylene Tow Targets (PETTs)
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, Point Mugu, California intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract using other than full and open procedures. Negotiations will be conducted with Forte Product Solutions.
The contract will be for fabrication, testing, and delivery of Polyethylene Tow Targets. The period of performance of the proposed acquisition will begin upon award and will continue for a period of five years. The Government anticipates a September 2014 award.
As the Polyethylene Tow Targets sole
designer, developer, manufacturer Forte Product Solutions is the only firm possessing the requisite knowledge of the Polyethylene Tow Target.
This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm believing that it can provide the required services may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 07/14/2014 at 12:00 PM Pacific. The firm must clearly show its ability to perform the work without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability, and delivery or causing programmatic hardship.
