The City intends to hire a contractor to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the administrative investigations processes performed by the Police Department’s Professional Standards Bureau Investigations Unit. The objective of the evaluation is to increase the capacity of the Investigations Unit to perform administrative investigations in a timely, thorough, and fair manner; to ensure training and investigative processes are aligned with best practices; and to increase accountability and restore credibility in the overall administrative investigations processes.
