Plaza Renovation
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, has a requirement for replacement of exterior brick and paver plaza system at the Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging (HNRCA), Boston, MA location.
The work includes, but is not limited to, these principal features of work: The HNRCA Plaza Renovation is comprised of upgrades to the existing brick and plaza system at USDA's facility. The upgrades include building façade improvements to eliminate water infiltration into the facility. A small amount of asbestos was discovered in the waterproofing membrane under the existing bricks and will be removed under this project.
Performance Period: The Contractor shall complete all work within 120 consecutive calendar days after issue of the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
The type of solicitation will be Best Value, Low Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) with no trade-offs. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 238140, Masonry Contractors. Small Business Size Standard is $15 million. It is anticipated that award will result in a single award, firm fixed-price contract. The project magnitude of this construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This solicitation will be a Request for Proposals (RFP) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-97. Solicitation No. 1232SC18R0016 is anticipated that the solicitation package will be at the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at www.fbo.gov on or about 31 May 2018. Paper copies will not be issued. Offerors are responsible for routinely checking the FedBizOpps website for any possible solicitation amendments that may be issued. The proposed offer due date and site visit date and time will be identified within the solicitation.
