Project Description: (Approx. quantities)


A construction project will be conducted on the right descending bank of the Platte River located at approximately 1 river mile upstream of the Missouri River confluence near Plattsmouth, NE. The project will consist of constructing haul road access and the placement of rock riprap and random fill within an open breach of the right bank that occurred in the March 2019 flood. Quantities are projected to be less than 15,000 tons rock riprap, less than 75,000 cubic yards of random fill from on-site borrow source, topsoil and seeding, and approximately 1 mile of haul road surfacing.


The contract duration will be 60 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. It is anticipated that this project will be awarded on or before 31 December 2019 with a completion date on or before 1 March 2020.


The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.


The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 60 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety.

Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to SAM.
