SUBJECT: Presolicitation Notice
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Leavenworth Consolidated Mail out Pharmacy (CMOP) located at 5000 S. 13th Street, Leavenworth, KS 66048 is requesting a Plastics Recycling Contractor. The
Term for this contract will be in effect for one-year, base year period of performance will be from 01 June 2018 to May 31, 2019, with four (4) subsequent one-year option periods. Recyclable plastic commodities will be generated and collected at the VA CMOP In Leavenworth Kansas. Recyclable plastics will include bubble wrap, shrink wrap, and empty prescription bottles with the ASTM
International Resin Identification Codes of (2-HDPE, 1-PET,4-LDPE,5-PP.)
The request for quote/proposal is planned to be issued in on or about 20 April 2018 and will be initially set aside for SDVOSB. The applicable NAICS code is 56211 with a Small Business Size Standard of $38,500,000. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Please note this this solicitation will initially be set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. This is not a request for proposals at this time. The solicitation requirements and contract documents to include instructions for submission and the response date will be available on or about 20 April 2018 with a closing date of 04 May 2018 at 1200pm ***These dates are subject to change. This is just an estimate. ***. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov). All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
