1. Sources Sought Synopsis for Planning Purposes. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis and Request for Information (RFI) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.215-3 --Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997). The purpose of this Sources Sought Synopsis is to perform market research, and to determine offeror interest and capability in providing Plastic Furniture for choreographed simulation purposes to the Air Force.


a. Background: The Government is conducting market research to identify companies as potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities and experience to competently and competitively respond to the requirements to provide Plastic Furniture to the specifications and descriptions listed below on Section 2 of this synopsis.


b. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this synopsis or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in FAR 31.205-18, Bid and Proposal costs. Companies responding to this market research are advised that participation does not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparation or participation in this research. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.


c. Although "proposal" and "offeror" are used in this Sources Sought Synopsis, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal.


2. Program Requirements: Plastic Furniture props are used to simulate various training scenarios for the Security Forces training program within Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland. Please see the attachment for the full specifications on the Plastic Furniture Props needed for this requirement. The contractor shall deliver the requirement specifications in order to provide a realistic training environment.

Emailed response must be received no later than the above-mentioned time/date for the Government to consider your response in formulating our market research.
b) Direct and succinct responses are preferred. Marketing materials are considered an
insufficient response to this synopsis. Please limit responses to no more than 15
pages, and identify a representative to support further Government inquiries and
requests for clarification of the information provided, if needed.
c) Respondents should indicate which portions of their response are
restrictive/proprietary and should mark them accordingly.
