Plant Growth Chambers
The University has numerous Plant Growth Chambers. Due to specific research or applications various departments may require a specific brand for compatibility issues, commonality of replacement parts, or various other criteria. It is the desire of the University to establish a Plant Growth Chamber contract which will include all products (units, accessories, parts, etc.). In addition, Kansas State University is seeking bid prices for specific equipment.
A. All units shall be cooled by chilled water unless otherwise specified
B. Units shall be equipped with a defrost cycle so the coils do not freeze at low temperatures
C. Units shall be capable of the addition of additive and subtractive CO2
D. Manufacturer shall be ISO9001 certified with the complete units being CSA certified
E. Units shall be Stainless Steel Interior
F. Units shall have photoperiod and temperature control (temperature can be set independent for day / night cycle)
G.Units shall have programmable schedules that allow temperature and light to be phased on in increments per shelf
H.Units shall have capability to control relative humidity
I.Units shall be capable of integration via a network to assist programming and remote diagnostics
J.Data acquisition from the units shall be available either on site or by remote access
