Physical Exam and Waiver Tracking System
The Air Force Medical Support Agency (AFMSA), Research and Acquisitions Directorate (SG5) has identified the need for a Physical Exam and Waiver Tracking System (PEWTr) capable of collecting data from healthcare records, identifying potentially disqualifying data, providing templates for requests for waiver, tracking the waiver through the approval process and reporting on the status of waivers and waiver requests. Airmen recruiting for or requesting assignment to duties involving flying must passed a physical examination meeting the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), United States Code 14, subchapter D, section 67, Medical Standards and Certifications, and Air Force Instruction 48-123, Medical Examination Standards.
