Patient Monitoring System Installation
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to Philips Healthcare for the installation, configuration, consultation, training and testing of a new Philips IntelliVue MX450 patient monitoring system in our expanded Brockton Urgent Care space, which is new construction. The Philips IntelliVue MX450 patient monitoring system is used throughout the Boston VA Healthcare system and in an effort for continued standardization, support, and maintenance purposes, this same system will be installed at the Brockton Urgent Care space. The installation and implementation of this patient monitoring system can only be performed from Phillips Healthcare. Additionally, Philips is the only company that can offer a valid Service Agreement for the Medical Systems equipment that meets the high level standards that the U.S. Government and Philips require. No other service providers own the proprietary, diagnostic software necessary for maintaining these highly technical systems to exacting OEM specifications. This purchase will be made using procedures as authorized by FAR Part 8.
