Pharmacy Well-Being Program
1.2.1Pursuant to section 338.380, RSMo, the Missouri Board of Pharmacy (hereinafter referred to as the state agency) has established a Well-Being Committee for the purpose of promoting the early identification, intervention, treatment, and rehabilitation of any state agency licensee who may be impaired for reasons of illness, substance abuse, or as a result of any mental condition (www.moga.mo.gov/statutes/c338.htm).
1.2.2The Well-Being Program will initially be utilized to monitor and assist licensees referred to the Well-Being Committee by the state agency pursuant to a disciplinary order. The state agency anticipates referring approximately thirty-five (35) licensees for initial participation in the Well-Being Program, and an additional twenty (20) licensees annually thereafter.
1.2.3Upon successful implementation of the Well-Being Program, the state agency anticipates extending Well-Being Program participation to voluntary licensees.
1.2.4No previous contract has existed for the services being obtained via this RFP.
