Synopsis
-

The Pike-San Isabel NF has a requirement to collect and dispose of possibly hazardous material left over from the abandoned Peekaboo Mine. The mine is approximately 8 miles up a high clearance 4WD road off High 82 before you go up to Independence Pass. The site is near the numbered dirt road and is accesible over a temporary road which is currently blocked with boulders. You may move the boulders out of the way if you wish, but must return them at the completion of the job. The containers of unknown substances must be packaged properly and transported to an appropriate disposal faciltiy. This is not an easily accessible job, but it is a beautiful area and you will enjoy the scenery and your time on the Western Slope. We estimate the magnitude of this project to be well less than $25,000.
-
A pre-bid site visit is not possible due to the snow pack and high elevationl.  If you wish to bid on this project, you must do so either using prior knowledge or the attached maps, photos and descriptions.
