Pediatrician for Fort Drum, NY
US Army Medical Command, Northern Regional Contracting Office intends to issue a Solicitation for One Pediatrician for MEDDAC, Guthrie Ambulatory Health Clinic, Fort Drum, NY. Fort Drum is considered to be a hardship area, and an extremely hard area to staff. Fort Drum is located in Northern New York State, about 30 miles south of the Canadian border. The nearest somewhat large city is Syracuse, about 70 miles south. This is a very rural farm area, and winters are extremely harsh. Fort Drum can receive 1-2 feet of snow in a day and have wind chills of -40. The area can receive snow in October and May. Fort Drum offers bountiful outdoor recreational opportunities from hunting and fishing to winter sports of all types. Ft. Drum borders Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River, Canada, the Adirondack Mountains, and Vermont.
The contract will be a firm fixed price, personal services type contract. Services will be required beginning on 01 May 2015 for a base period of one year with four one year option periods. This acquisition will be set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, NAICS Code 621111, Size Standard $11M. All responsible sources may submit an offer. Release of the solicitation is scheduled on or about 29 December 2014. The solicitation and all amendments will be posted to FedBizOpps (https://www.fbo.gov) via the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Website (https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi).
