Paving Project
The County invites qualified contractors to submit bids for completing the construction of the Avenue to be taken into the State System of Highways as a secondary road.
1.
Construct temporary construction entrance
2.
Install erosion and sediment controls per plans and specifications
3.
Clear the planned disturbed area and remove debris to suitable location off-site
4.
Install inlet and outlet protection
5.
Bring grades to desired elevations
6.
Stabilize all disturbed areas with permanent vegetation
7.
Apply road surface treatment as designed and specified
8.
Erosion control devices shall remain in place until released by the governing authority. After being released, remove temporary erosion and sediment control measures.
9.
Stabilize the affected area.
The road shall be constructed per VDOT standards.
