Pavement Mgmt Systems
The City seeks to develop a Pavement Management GIS that will be integrated with the City's Enterprise GIS to save the City's Public Works staff valuable time and cost with assessing street pavement and side walk conditions, rating these pavement and side walk conditions, and developing maintenance and repair strategies.The selected consultant must work with the Public Works staff to develop a Pavement Management GIS. The Consultant will:
Develop and define a data model, linking procedures, and pavement/ sidewalk geo database.
Develop an overall design and requirements document.
Create centerline linear features based on existing street data.
Create features that will allow tracking of paths during each street survey.
Create a feature that will allow areas to be marked for future review for repaving and repair.
Develop a geo processing service to be used for calculating surface area.
Develop a system that will allow for 3 connections for both field and office.
Develop and create mobile capabilities that track the route of the data in the field and allow the
user to mark start and stop points in the field.
Provide the Public Works Department with one mobile hand held device with developed
software installed for mapping and field use.
Develop a GIS network for web-map viewing that will perform calculations for pavement and
sidewalk surface area, condition, rating, and status.
Create a function to generate customizable reports per the City's Public Works needs.
Train Public Works and GIS staff to administer and maintain the database.
Provide yearly maintenance and software updates.
