Pavement Maintenance
This is preventative maintenance project. Apply a thin lift overlay (.15″) of hot mix asphalt to the following locations: SH-78, MP 82.68 – 98.64 and SH-78, MP 51.89 – 60.00. There will be no changes to the existing roadway line and grade. Additional approach pavement work and shoulder work of placing “class D” crushed aggregate from the new pavement edge (as resulted from the overlay work) to match into the existing shoulder will be needed. This will provide for a smooth transition between the new pavement edge and the existing shoulder.
