Parts to Rebuild Dam Hoist Reduction Gear Box
This is a Source Sought and Request for Information (RFI) only. This is not a solicitation announcement, nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP). This request does not obligate the Government in any contract award. The Government will not pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of such information. Response to this notice is strictly voluntary and will not affect any firms' ability to submit a proposal if and when a solicitation is issued.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Pittsburgh District is conducting market research to identify potential sources to provide replacement parts for existing Gearbox Size 575 ATFC, Model Number: 52746.
Description of Requirement:
The dam gates at Maxwell Lock and Dam are raised and lowered by Philadelphia gearboxes. These gearboxes have been in service for over 50 years and are in need of replacement. The exact manufacture and model number of the parts need to be purchased in order to ensure compatibility with the existing Philadelphia gearbox per manufacturer's specs.
Parts and Supplies:
(1.) Work Gear Set
(a) Worm Gear Part No. - 46020-4138
(b) Worm Gear Shaft Part No. - 46020-8607
(2.) Set of Gaskets and oil Seals Part No. - KT 86384-2
(3.) Bearing Kit Part No. - KT 96241-146030-4138
The gearbox parts shall be crated, boxed, or otherwise packaged to the extent necessary to prevent damage during shipment. Any damage caused during shipment shall be repaired/replaced by the vendor at his/her own expense. The gearbox parts shall be delivered to Maxwell Lock and Dam, E. Millsboro, PA 15433-1261
