The Department of Veterans Affairs anticipates soliciting quotes and consequently awarding a contract for a project titled Parking Structure Rust Removal . Any acquisition that follows this pre-solicitation notice will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Part 36 - Construction and A-E Contracting, and other applicable regulations. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Set Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, supplies, travel, etc. to install berm barrier at edge of parking structure deck, install drain, attach and paint flat steel barriers, and extend roof drain. Location will be at VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System, 975 Kirman Avenue, Reno, NV 89502. The period of performance should be 30 calendar days.

Magnitude of construction is expected to between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS code for this acquisition is 236220, with size standard of $36.5 Million.

The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about December 14, 2018 and will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities. This date is subject to change. Hard copy documents including drawings will not be available all documents for bidding purposes will be posted at this website for download. Site visit information will be provided upon issuance of solicitation. Only one site visit is planned. Quotes will be due 30 days after issuance of solicitation unless extended by amendment. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this announcement.
