Park WWTF Decommissioning
- This RFP had a pre-bid event.
Three separate force mains currently discharge to the Park Waste Water treatment Facility (WWTF). A 4" enters from the west; a 6" enters from the southeast and a 12" from the east. The force main redirection will be accomplished by constructing new 4", 6" and 12" force mains which will
manifold into a new 8" force main before discharging into a new master manhole. A 12" gravity sewer line will be constructed from the master manhole to the wet well of existing lift station 208. The influent will
then be pumped off site through an existing 12" force main. A metering station for both the waste water as well as the reclaimed water shall be constructed. The Rapid Infiltration Basin's (RIBs) on site have existing piping that will be abandoned and a new 12" reclaim water main will be constructed to connect an existing 16" from the east to the existing 12" reclaimed water main to the west of the RIBs. Once flow from the WWTF has been diverted the draining, cleaning and dismantling of the WWTF shall commence as outlined in the abandonment plan, followed by demolition of the plant and the final site grading. Estimated cost of project: $1,200,000.00.
