PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE

Air Force Materiel Command, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson AFB OH, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract at Andersen AFB, Guam to procure a pallet lift and pallet handling system in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 15.2, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. The system will consist of three 15 ,000 pound capacity hydraulic pallet lifts, manual 463L gravity roller conveyor, and providing installing framing that is capable of supporting the same capacity as the pallet lifts in order to reduce the size of each existing pallet pit. It is imperative that the new system properly interfaces with the existing materials handling system to allow the transfer of pallets to and from the pallet lifts and avoid any additional delays in the operational use of the system. The contract will be awarded to International Automated Systems (IAS). NAICS: 333922, SIZE STANDARD: 500 employees. Market research was previously conducted and it has been determined that this is a sole source requirement IAW FAR 6.302-1.
This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide the required supplies/services within 15 days of this publication. The capability statement, proposal, or quotation shall include past Government contract numbers and corresponding points of contact for contracts that included this type of equipment to prove a successful performance record on this type of work. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government does not intend to pay for any information received in response to this announcement.
