This specification is for Type II low Volatile Organic Compound, ready-mixed, one component, 100% acrylic
waterborne airfield and traffic marking paint. The paint must be suitable for application on such traffic-bearing
surfaces as Portland cement concrete, bituminous cement concrete, asphalt, tar, and previously painted areas
of these surfaces. The paint may be used either alone or to bind reflective beads. Type II paint is specified for
use under adverse conditions, i.e., night striping, higher humidity (around 80%), low air movement and lower
surface temperatures, down to 12 degrees C (55 degrees F).
