SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS:

 

 Notice Type: Sources Sought

Synopsis:

1.  NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only.  The purpose of this is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside.  The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 336413, Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing, which has a corresponding size standard of 1,250 employees.  The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement.  The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The Government request all interested parties to respond to this notice if they can meet the Government's need regardless of  their  size standard. 

 

2. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIRED SUPPLIES:

 

5 Year IDIQ for F-16 Canopy Bows (PN 160D117102-5/ NSN 1560005837352FJ).  See attached Manufacturing Qualification Statement (MQR), dated 25 January 2017.

 

 

3. The Government requests interested parties to submit a brief statement of their capability to meet the above requirement to leslie.evans.1@us.af.mil by Monday, 1 May 2017, 1:00 PM MST.   Please also provide the requested information below: 

•1.                    Have you sold the same or similar part to commercial customers?  If so, please list them with their point of contact information including their e-mail address, the part number that was sold, when, unit price, and if it was delivered on time.    

•2.                    What is your company's name, CAGE code, and DUNS number?   

•3.                    Who is your point of contact and what is their email address and telephone number?

•4.                    Is your company a small business for this NAICS Code?  If your company is a small business, is it also a women owned business, small disadvantaged business, 8a business,  HUB Zone business,  service disabled veteran owned business,  etc.?

•5.                    Would you be supplying as a manufacturer or a distributor?

•6.                    If you are a small business or large (please specify) would your company manufacture the product or would it provide products partially or fully (please specify) manufactured by another small business and if so, what percentage would be manufactured by the other firm?  

•7.                    What other NAICS code do you suggest for this acquisition and why? 

•8.                    Is there a GSA Schedule for this part?  If so, what is the GSA Schedule number?

•9.                    What is the anticipated first article and production lead time?

•10.                 Discusses any concerns you may have with our requirement or how you would better able to meet our requirement.

 

Finally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements and the other firm's capability statement.   Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partner(s).
