THIS IS A SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a Request for Proposal. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This is strictly market research to determine availability and adequacy of potential sources with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received as a result of this announcement. Request for solicitation will not receive a response.


The General Services Administration (GSA), Great Lakes Region (Region 5) has a need to repair and replace the existing public restrooms are accessible in their entirety. The restrooms will be gutted, the fixtures salvaged, and new finishes and fixtures installed. The primary goals of the project are to:
• Provide accessibility per ABAAS and enhanced privacy to users
• Renovate interior finishes to be consistent with the Building Design Standards
• Incorporate energy conservation relative to water usage
• A solution that is economically feasible for GSA and the taxpayer
• Meet Tier 1 requirements as described in the PB-100 document
• Generally conform to the Brutalist and Modern/International design style of the building.
• Meet GSA's project schedule and cost


Work will be performed at the John W. Bricker Federal Building, located at 200 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio, was built in 1977 and includes a basement plus seven stories above grade for a total of 260,000 SF (216,000 GSF; 184,000 USF). The construction cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The performance period is 40 weeks. The anticipated award date is on or before September 15, 2018. The NAICS code is 236220 with a small business size standard of $36.5 million. No other information is available at this time.


If you are an interested party, please provide the following information. All information submitted will be subject to verification and additional information may be requested to substantiate responses:


A short statement regarding your firm's expertise and experience on projects similar in scope and size. Are you a small or large business? If small business, indicate any and all applicable small business representation(s) (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Women Owned, etc.).


Do you have bonding capability to cover 100% of the construction cost? Include three projects completed within the last five years similar in size and scope to the work described above. Provide a customer point of contact for each project listed (telephone and email address).


Indicate your intent to bid on a subsequent solicitation.
