PUBLIC HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
County Health Department (PCHD) is seeking an information system that will address a broad range of needs in a single integrated system and will form the foundation for an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and will enable participation in community-wide health information exchange (HIE). Core functions that need to be part of this system are a Client Registry System, and the ability to capture and store information pertaining to the services delivered by PCHD to clients in the functional areas of Public Health Nursing, Vaccine Preventable Disease (Immunizations), Health Records, Family Planning, HIV/STD Control, and TB Control. The system will collect data and enable the creation of reports based on that data. Important elements of the system will be automatic export of data to the State and a streamlined clinic workflow that can be up-scaled for mass immunization events.
