PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE OF LABORATORY EXHAUST FANS IN NAMRU-6 IQUITOS
The NAMRU6 Facilities in Iquitos are located inside the Iquitos's Peruvian Navy Hospital in Av. La Marina S/N in Iquitos City, Department of Loreto in Peru.
The laboratories are equipped with exhaust fans/Vektors Brand GREENHECK which creates the negative pressure necessary for the normal operation of the laboratories. The Entomology laboratories in Iquitos are equipped with a Roof Top Unit brand GREENHECK and exhaust fans/Vektors for the air conditioning system of the laboratories. It is desire to have a preventive annual contract.
The Contractor must provide preventive maintenance services to the Laboratory Exhaust Fans of NAMRU6 Iquitos; including electric heaters in ducts. Quarterly maintenance (including supply of minor parts such as bearings and belts and filters) will be performed. An annual emergency service should also be included for inspection of equipment in case of failure. In case of no emergency within the first 8 months; The NAMRU-6 may request an inspection visit of all Laboratory Exhaust Fans in Iquitos or any critical spare part that covers the same amount of money quoted for the emergency service in replacement of this emergency service without option for the contractor to increase the cost of this service.
Contractors must schedule a site visit in order to obtain all necessary information for their proposal. All travel expenses for the site visit will be covered by the Contractors and NAMRU-6 will not pay any money to contractors for this visit. The information provided in this SOW is the only available information of the electrical, structural, mechanical installations of both Facilities and Contractor will be responsible to obtain all pending information and formulate questions during their site visit in order to provide a complete and coherent proposal.
Contractor must demonstrate that they have official representative of GREENHECK factory. It is desired and will be evaluated positively if contractor has personnel working permanently near of Iquitos.
Contractor must submit technical reports after the completion of each maintenance at Iquitos including the work done, photos and any upgrade or deficiency that must be corrected for the correct operation of the equipment.
Place of Performance: NAMRU-6 - Iquitos Peru
If capable sources are not identified through this notice, then NAMRU 6 intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(i) to SAEG PERU S.A., for the requirements of NAMRU-6.
This pre-solicitation is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to perform the required work. Capability statements shall not exceed 5 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source contract.
