PHIN Compliance Readiness Support - Gap Analysis Project
We are required to build a Public Health Information Network (PHIN), based on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. In order to accomplish this goal, we propose to hire a vendor to help the Division of Public Health Services (DPHS) to construct a plan to meet PHIN certification requirements as set forth by the CDC in the PHIN requirements dated June 22, 2007 (Attachment 2).
The work will document the current DPHS system architecture, create an inventory of applications currently running on this architecture, and document the current and planned Information Technology capacities. The written deliverables will assist the Division in becoming PHIN certified by September 30, 2010. The vendor shall document and analyze business, functional and technical requirements, and construct a long-range workplan the Division will use to gain PHIN certification. The Division of Public Health Services (DPHS) is one of the several Divisions within the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
