The Department of Transportation (DOT), Maritime Administration (MARAD) is the sponsor for this effort. MARAD seeks a qualified vendor capable of performing PF-612 HARRIER Hauling and Coating IAW the attached Statement of Work.
(i) This acquisition uses the simplified procedures for acquisition of commercial items per FAR 13. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared In accordance with (IAW) the format at FAR subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures, under Acquisition of Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only written solicitation; quotations are being requested; and a written (formal) solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation and any amendments that include answers to questions will be provided through the FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES (FBO) website https://www.fbo.gov.
(ii) The solicitation number for this requirement is 6991PE18Q000025 and it is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).
(iii) This solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular.
(iv) This procurement is being issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is: 336611 Ship Building and Repairing. MARAD intends to award a single Firm fixed-price Purchase Order (PO).
(v) Instruction for Submittal of Quotation:
a. Submit the items in the instruction below per FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items.
b. Submit your reps and certs as shown in the instruction below per FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items (JAN 2017). If you do not use the on-line certification you may do your reps and certs on the addendum to the RFQ that provides the full text clause. If you use the addendum then scan and submit your reps and certs with your quotation.
(vi) Description of Requirements
The requirement is for performing the PF-612 HARRIER Hauling and Coating IAW the attached Statement of Work. Because this craft is not considered deep-sea worthy, all work must be performed on this vessel in the San Francisco Bay area
