PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for the production of PD501D NSNs: 4120-01-369-2996, 4120-01-167-5470 for USAF flightline usage. This is Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) acquisition. Our acquisition strategy is a five-year contract (basic plus four option years) and will continue through CY2023. The projected quantities will be for a total less than 100, with a monthly production in accordance with best commercial practices.
The PD501D is a flightline air conditioner providing high volume, high pressure air flow to cool aircraft avionics and personnel during ground maintenance activities.
