NASA/MSFC has a requirement for 84 PCI Express Input/Output (I/O)Boards, Data Device Corporation (DDC) Part Number BU-67106K400R-JL0 to be used in support of the Integrated Avionics Test Facilities (IATF) under the Vehicle Integration project within the Space Launch Systems (SLS) program
NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Data Device Corporation on a sole source basis.
DDC designs, manufactures and sells direct the MIL-STD-1553 PCI Express I/O Board, BU-67106K400R-JL0 with their proprietary embedded AceXtreme ®. DDC’s boards are already deployed throughout the IATF labs with an established compatibility with the real-time operating system of the Concurrent computers and the other hardware used in the IATF labs. The IATF labs must maintain compatibility. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 6/2/2017 by 4:00 p.m. CST. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
