1.  NOTICE:  This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only.


1.1  The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside.  The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for each group that is part of this procurement.  The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns.  The government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code and size standard for each group.  Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years.  Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. 


2.  Program Details:


This requirement is to provide a contract to procure build-to-print components for the PATS-70A Production effort located at Hill AFB, Utah.  The requirement consists of cases, self-test cable wrap-around adapters, simple ground cables, and identification labels.  The required assets have been assembled into groups with their necessary corresponding requirements.  A drawing for one asset in each group is included with this sources sought.  A technical data package containing the drawings and specifications for all needed components will be included as part of a future solicitation.  Interested parties may reply for a single group or multiple groups.


3. This is in support of the 309 Software Maintenance Support Group located at Hill AFB, UT.  The information in this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date.  This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government.  Updated information will be provided in future announcements and posted electronically on the Federal Business opportunities homepage at www.fbo.gov. 


The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this request for information.  The Ogden Air Logistics Complex Contracting Directorate (AFMC), Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah, intends to issue a formal Request for Proposals in Spring 2018 timeframe for the acquisition of components/products required for this effort at Hill AFB, UT.  The estimated period of performance including all options is Apr 2018 through Mar 2019. 


The Government requests that interested parties answer the questions found in Appendix A.  Answer all general questions and each question for every group where interested.  Limit responses for each section/group to two pages.  Additionally, interested parties are asked to fill out the matrix found in Appendix B. 


The Government also requests that interested parties submit a brief statement of current capability to fulfil this effort and a letter of interest; limited to two pages.  Interested and qualified sources should provide the following information: company name, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers, existing government contracts, type of business and size, and how you can support this effort.
