The County Parks Department hereinafter referred to as "County", is soliciting quotations from a qualified organization/bidder, hereinafter referred to as "CONTRACTOR", to provide a new patrol/rescue boat and trailer at Lake San Antonio and a vessel reconditioning and re-power for a 2001 Jetcraft 22 foot patrol boat to be used as a patrol/rescue boat at Lake Nacimiento.

5.2 The Scope of Work includes but is not limited to the following:
5.2.1 Marine Aluminum Lake patrol \ rescue boat, 23-25 feet in length.
5.2.2 Deep-Vee bottom measuring 16 degrees.
5.2.3 8.1-liter/496 cubic inches KEM, fuel injected, marine gas engine or approved equal with Hamilton 212 Jet Drive Propulsion or approved equal.
5.2.4 Dual console with steering and helm on starboard side.
5.3 In all areas, except as noted, where a brand name is specified, CONTRACTOR is authorized to substitute as long as the substituted item is of equal or better quality according to industry standards. CONTRACTOR must note all deviations from the specifications in order that the County may evaluate the equipment being offered.
5.4 CONTRACTOR's quote must meet or exceed the minimum requirements or it may be
deemed non-responsive, and may not be considered for award.
5.5 Warranties will include a full manufacturer's warranty for the engine and Jet Drive.
5.5.1 The hull shall have a minimum of 10-year warranty on materials and
workmanship.
5.5.2 Equipment must be covered by manufacturer's warranty or include coverage as
required by California law, whichever provides the longer warranty coverage.

CONTRACTOR SPECIFICATIONS - BOAT and TRAILER
5.6 Quotes must include all costs of the finished boat, trailer and additional equipment, including labor, materials, all applicable taxes, delivery, and all other costs for an operational boat, trailer and upon receipt.
5.7 All work done, where so governed, must comply with current USCG, NMMA, and
ABYC regulations.
5.8 All materials and equipment shall be new marine grade and shall meet appropriate Federal and industry standards for material and installation
5.9 CONTRACTOR must be a recognized manufacturer of heavy aluminum watercraft, who has been in business continuously for a minimum for 24 consecutive months prior to this solicitation.
5.10 CONTRACTORshall list on a separate sheet any variations, deviations and/or exceptions to the conditions and specifications of this RFQ.
5.10.1 This sheet shall be labeled "Exceptions to Quote Conditions and Specifications
RFQ #10304" and will be attached to the quote.
5.10.2 It is not the intent of these specifications to restrict a manufacturer's ingenuity in design.
5.11 To insure compliance with all designs, specifications and installation instructions, CONTRACTOR must provide County with the opportunity for on-site inspections at the point when the boat has been 50% constructed and again when construction has been fully completed but prior to final acceptance of the boat by County.
5.11.1 CONTRACTOR shall provide the cost of lodging, per diem and travel for two
County representatives to complete the inspections.
5.12 Awarded CONTRACTOR will not charge the County for the amount of time necessary to appropriately instruct County personnel on the operation and maintenance of the vessel.
5.12.1 Instruction will be conducted at a location agreed upon by the CONTRACTOR
and the County.
5.13 Owner/Service/Parts manuals for the boat and any applicable components are to accompany the vessel upon delivery.
5.14 All fasteners through the hull shall be aluminum or 300 series stainless steel, or better.
5.15 All sound deadening materials shall be fire retardant.
5.16 CONTRACTOR shall deliver the specified product as described within RFQ #10304 as early as possible but no later than August 31, 2011.

VESSEL RECONDITIONING SPECIFICATIONS
5.17 The Scope of Work includes but is not limited to the following:
5.17.1 A new 8.1 Liter/496 cubic inches KEM, fuel injected, marine gas engine
