PATIENTS RIGHTS ADVOCACY SERVICES
The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals, select a contractor(s), and
award one or more contracts for advocacy services for San Mateo County
clients assuring that the statutory and constitutional rights of persons
identified as mental health clients are respected and protected, not
violated. In San Mateo these functions have been provided through a
combination of services that are contracted and directly provided by the
Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Division (BHRS). Services
provided to San Mateo clients outside of San Mateo County are monitored
through the host counties' patients' rights advocates. BHRS seeks to
contract for all patients' rights functions to be provided by a single provider
who will be accountable to the Director of BHRS or the Directors
designee.
