PARTS KIT, BRAKE ADJUSTER
The acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). The approved sources are: Truck, Trailer, Transit, Inc., Cage: 1JX42 - P/N: T-MK-2104; Oshkosh Defense, LLC, 75Q65 - P/N: 9HR844; and, Meritor Heavy Vehicle Systems, LLC, Cage: 78500 - P/N: MPS4012. The acquisition is for one (1) NSN; 2530-013913228, Brake Adjuster Parts Kit.
This will be an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) with a three-year base period and two (2) one-year option periods. Options to be exercised at the discretion of the government. The total duration of the base period plus option periods shall not exceed five (5) years. Items may ship to various stock depots of CONUS and OCOUNS locations.
The acquisitions is unrestricted. The NAICS is 336340, Motor Vehicle Brake System Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees.
Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. Dollars. All interested suppliers bay submit an offer.
While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The solicitation will be available at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil. on its issue date of 08/20/19. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. Increments and delivery schedule will be noted on the RFP. Freight On Board (FOB) Origin is required. Inspection and Acceptance requirements will be noted on the RFP. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote, which shall be considered. It is the responsibility of the offeror to obtain additional data that is necessary to manufacture the item and provide this evidence to the Government.
