The Government intends to award a firm fixed price, three (3) year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for the minimum quantity and maximum quantity of the MAIN TRANSMISSION item as stated above. There is a Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) for the overhaul of Input/Output NSN: 1615-01-520-9744. The Overhaul of the MAIN TRANSMISSION shall be in accordance with Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) DMWR-1-1615-299, change #1 dated 14 May 2010. The approved sources identified by the Army Engineering Directorate (AED) are The Boeing Company, CAGE Code: 8V613, Heligear Acquisition Company, DBA Northstar Aerospace, CAGE Code: 22907 and Timken Aerospace Transmissions LLC, CAGE Code 15152. The above Input/Output NSNs is a Critical Safety Item. A Product Verification Audit (PVA) IS required. Contractors are encouraged to seek Source Approval Requests (SAR) in order to compete for this or future solicitations by submitting documentation in accordance with the Competition Advocate's Shopping List procedures. These procedures are outlined at the following website: http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casl_cmo_home. Award of this requirement will not be withheld pending SARs. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Agency. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted. Therefore, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 will not be used for the above item. This requirement is currently unfunded. Award will be withheld pending receipt of sufficient funds. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above.
