Description: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for quotations or quote abstracts. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement.

Background: The Dayton VA Medical Center, P&LMS, is pursuing the acquisition of one (1) brand new Osmometer analyzer for patient testing. The current primary Advanced Instruments Osmometer 3320 is outdated and irreparable, and no longer serviceable.

Purpose and Objectives: Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method.

NAICS Code: 339112 and business size standard is 1,000 employees.

NOTE: Respondent claiming SDVOSB and VOSB status must be registered and CVE verified in Vetbiz Registry at https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov/.

Requirements: The single sample osmometer shall meet the following technical characteristics:

Test shall be FDA approved for clinical use.
Methodology: Freezing Point Depression
Appropriate (minimum of 2 levels) serum and urine controls shall be available
2 Levels of Standards (Low and High) shall be available
1 Reference Solution shall be available
Test analysis time of 1 minute or less per sample
Linearity: +/- 1%
Standard Deviation: 0.5% when result is 400-2000 mOsm/kg H2O
Reportable Range: 0-2000 mOsm/kg H2O
Sample Volume: 50 microliters or less.
Units of Measurement: mOsm/kg H2O
Resolution: 1 mOsm/kg H2O
Shall be able to print results and use a scanner to scan barcode label
Electrical voltage 100-240 VAC
Power: 60W
Dimensions: Benchtop analyzer shall sit on counter measuring 30 deep or less.
