Software development firms are invited to submit a proposal, in accordance with the attached Request for Proposal (RFP), to the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) for the development of a web-based Organization Wide Learning System (OWLS).
SAGES mission is to improve quality patient care through education, research, innovation and leadership, principally in gastrointestinal and endoscopic surgery. For the past 15 years SAGES has created, developed and implemented educational programs that teach and assess a wide range of physicians. The SAGES educational portfolio consists of 5 programs that offer onsite and online learning. In the coming year, the portfolio will be expanded to include an additional 3 programs and in two to three years time another 24. This Request for Proposal (RFP) provides interested software development firms with sufficient information to enable them to prepare and submit proposals for consideration by SAGES. The successful proposer will build a learning system to manage the administrative processes for all of SAGES' current and future programs. The system will include registration management, student record keeping and reporting, content delivery, course creation, and the integration of partner systems. Services requested in this RFP include but are not limited to project management, business analysis, UI/UX design, programming, data management, quality assurance, and software training.
