The US Army Corps of Engineers has a developing requirement for Orchard Removal and Weed Control Maintenance at the Combined Ecosystem Restoration and Flood Risk Management project site, at Hamiton City, California.

It is currently undetermined if this project will be set-aside to a specific socio-economic group.

The purpose of this sources sought is to request capabilities statements from those vendors that may have the capability and capacity to perform sevices, as outlined in the attached draft Performance Work Statement.

Description of Services/Introduction: Orchards in the project footprint shall be removed and weed growth controlled for the duration of the period of performance. Plan, coordinate, organize, manage, and perform the activities described herein. Any clean up or remediation of contamination by hazardous or toxic materials encountered as an existing condition of the project site is not part of this contract.

Scope: The major work elements described herein includes planning, permitting, regulatory compliance, procuring needed materials, supplies, and equipment for controlling weeds, removing orchard and remnant vegetation within the approximated 166 acres as shown on the attached Exhibit A, documenting work, and removing remnant surface irrigation components associated with the orchard to the minimum extent necessary to remove the orchards, and perform the required weed control.


Services include:


• Planning, coordinating, permitting, organizing, managing, surveying, cultivating, grading, mowing, applying herbicides, documenting, biological surveying, and biological monitoring.


• Provide all necessary permits, labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, power and supplies necessary to fulfill contract requirements.


• Maintenance services shall include, mowing, herbicide spraying, record keeping and general cleanup.
