Oral Language Interpretation Services
The County of Santa Clara (hereafter referred to as County") is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to provide oral language interpretation services as required by the Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital System (hereafter referred to as SCVHHS").
Offeror must provide interpreters who speak English fluently, as well as a second language, and are competent in the use of basic medical terminology in the language that they translate. The Offeror shall have an ongoing obligation to assess the competency of its interpreters' use of basic medical terminology.
Oral language interpretation services shall be provided via telephone. Interpreters must be available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, including all holidays.
This solicitation shall result in a single source award.
The resulting contract shall be for a term of three (3) years with an option to renew for two (2) additional years, unless terminated earlier or otherwise amended.
