The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Federal Correctional Institution in Bastrop, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of Optometry Services at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) located in Bastrop, Texas.

The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from this solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a base period from effective Date of Award through 12 months from effective Date of Award plus four options. The estimated anticipated Date of Award is October 1, 2019.


All duties shall be performed in accordance and compliance with the Statement of Work. A session will equal one (1) hour. Clinics will typically be scheduled between the hours of 7:00a.m - 3:30 p.m., with an option for an unpaid 30 minute lunch, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. Total hours shall not exceed 40 hours per week. The scheduled days and hours will be mutually agreed upon by the Federal Government and the contractor depending on the needs of the institution.


The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621320 (Size Standard: $7.5 million). This solicitation is being solicited as small business set aside. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.


The solicitation is available on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov . All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. The date for receipt of quote is Monday August 5 2019, by 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. All potential quoters are advised that the solicitation will include the clause at FAR 52.212-4 for Commercial Items, paragraph (t) System for Award Management (SAM). This clause requires all contractors doing business with the Federal Government after September 30, 2003, to be registered in the SAM database. If your company is not registered in SAM, registration can be made at http://www.sam.gov .
