The Center is a department at the University that administers many components of the professional development system for the state. The Center is seeking a highly experienced partner with a proven track record to assist us with LCMS hosting, content development, customer support, registration, and e-commerce for our current and future online courses. The Center's approach to online instruction follows an asynchronous learning model.

Our partner's team must include experienced PHP/MySQL development staff. We prefer at least ten years of development experience with PHP and MySQL. The Center has heavily modified the open source ATutor LCMS, and our partner must demonstrate development experience with ATutor. Ecommerce integration with ATutor is a critical part of our course delivery platform. Our partner must demonstrate successful payment gateway integration with open source LCMS products (ATutor preferred). Modifications to the ATutor data model are frequently required and must be performed by an experienced database administrator. A thorough understanding of MySQL query optimization is preferred.

Our partner's team should include SCORM experience. We require experience with both SCORM 1.2 and 2004. A firm grasp of sequencing engines available for ATutor, and the packaging techniques required to work with them is critical. Past and future course content is maintained as SCORM and IMS packages. A proven track record with packaging, sequencing, and IEEE LOM is crucial to the content development process. Assessments will be maintained in IMS QTI format. Experience with integrating IMS and SCORM standards into traditional media delivery vehicles (XHTML, Flash, Java, etc.) and ATutor is required. All content must be meet section 508 accessibility requirements. Proven experience with section 508 is required.
