SYNOPSIS DESCRIPTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center, 6162 S Willow Drive, Suite 300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 intends to solicit sources to enter into one firm-fixed price contract to provide on-site and on-call Intra- intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM) services for its Veteran population at the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System (VASLCHCS) located at 500 Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84148.
The Contractor shall provide on-call, qualified intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM) services and provide all equipment, instrumentation or disposable accessories that are required for the accurate neurophysiologic monitoring of the beneficiaries of the VASLCHCS. Neurophysiologic monitoring is the use of electrophysiological methods such as electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and evoked potentials to monitor the functional integrity of certain neural structures (e.g., nerves, spinal cord and parts of the brain) during surgery. The purpose of intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring is to reduce the risk to the patient of iatrogenic damage to the nervous system, and/or to provide functional guidance to the surgeon and anesthesiologist. Contractor shall provide 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days per year neuro monitoring services on an on-call basis. The VASLCHCS is estimating four to six (4-6) cases per month for these services.

All Contractor technicians(s) shall Technicians must be board certified through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists. Proof of certification and continuing education shall be provided upon request.
Solicitation package will be available for download on or about October 15, 2018. Any questions pertaining to the solicitation (AFTER REVIEWING THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE IN ITS ENTIRETY) must be provided to the contract specialist, in writing via email only by 4:00 p.m., Mountain Time, on October 17, 2018, to Claudia.Coria@va.gov to be considered for a response. Proposals submitted shall be due no later than 4:00 p.m., Mountain Time, on October 29, 2018. The applicable NAICS code is 621111 with a small business size standard of $11.0 million. This solicitation is full and open competition. The solicitation reference is 36C25918R0578, On-Call Intraoperative Neuro Monitoring Services, and should be referenced in all correspondence/inquiries.
All information for this solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at www.fbo.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided. Any amendments to this solicitation will be available at this website and offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments to this solicitation at this website prior to the time of responding to the solicitation.
