Under the oversight of the Land Use Permitting Committee, the ombudsman/expeditor function will assist businesses, developers, architects, builders and contractors obtain the necessary permits and approvals in a quick and efficient manner to enhance their business operations within the community. This function will be the single point of contact for complex, large or valuable projects from original concept through final implementation as needed. A critical factor will be the communication of project status with all departments involved in the process. The ombudsman/expeditor will recommend changes to state law, local ordinances and processes and provide feedback to the Permit Committee and appropriate Department Heads. Assists both current and potential business with a variety of topics including department contacts and comuunication facilitaion; license and permit requirements and applications; permit tracking and regulatory compliance. It will provide dispute resolution for all the departments related to compliance with government codes and regulations.
