(c) This solicitation is issued for the purpose of: conducting market research to identify potential sources for a potential procurement of Schick 33 dental sensors brand name or equal as indicated below at the Nebraska Western Iowa VA Healthcare System located at 4101 Woolworth Ave Omaha, NE 68105. To assist interested parties, a brief/general description (not all inclusive) is provided below:
Background:
The Omaha, Lincoln and Grand Island Dental Clinics are in need of new technology in the field of intra-oral radiology. They currently use phosphor plates to take images, which then need to be scanned and sent to the server. Their scanners, intra-oral x-ray heads in each operatory and network servers are all in need of being replaced due to end of life expectancy. The dental clinics are in need of sensors that provide consistency and immediate images for providers without the issues of lost or slow to transfer images that they deal with on a consistent basis.
