Through the Mathematics and Science Partnership, the Ohio Department of Educations Office of Curriculum and Instruction proposes to fund partnerships that address the complex issues surrounding the teaching and learning of mathematics and science in Ohio.
The goals of this project are to:
1) Improve student achievement in mathematics and science.
2) Increase teacher content knowledge in mathematics and science.
3) Pilot the use of successful, existing models (or parts of a model) in the target school, with a goal of transferring the model to other schools and partners.
4) Improve connections to the real world in the classroom (relevancy, inquiry, and problem-solving skills).
