The County of San Bernardino, Information Services Department (ISD), hereinafter referred to as "County," currently maintains a tape library consisting of over 50,000 tape cartridges. These cartridges contain critical business information for various county departments supported by ISD. In addition, ISD collects and oversees the storage of other critical media from county departments. Currently, both types of media are cycled to an off-site data storage facility to make the most appropriate use of ISDs resources and to manage risk.
The County is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for a fixed price contract to provide off-site data storage service for a three (3) year period beginning in December, 2005, and
ending in December 2008. It is the intent of the County to establish a mutually beneficial relationship with a vendor(s) who can provide these services as required by the specifications, terms and conditions of this RFP.
