Minimum Essential Characteristics
Ophthalmology Operating Microscope
Must Meet All Specifications - Brand Name Or Equal
ITEM:
(1) Ocular Anterior and Posterior segment Surgical Microscope REQUIREMENTS:
1.    Integrated beam splitter with apochromatic optics throughout the entire visual pathway to eliminate spherical and chromatic aberrations.
2.    stereo coaxial illumination (e.g., zero-degree illumination where the light is piped directly along the visual light path)
3.    Assistant scope with independent motorized zoom, (with ability to be linked to the surgeon's zoom) and can be shifted for left or right observation
4.    Capable of Xenon or halogen light source, with backup light of equal power. Halogen mode should have a filter that mimics xenon light source characteristics
5.    Motorized focus and focus range of 70mm.
6.    Depth of focus management system with electronically adjustable depth-of-field that can be activated from the programmable handgrips or the foot control panel.
7.    14 function foot control system, independently programmable handgrips for surgeon to control scope functions (to include depth of field)
8.    Integrated monitor HD camera and recording system that can be controlled from hand grip or foot control (The integrated video cameras and recording (in SD or HD) and all associated cabling are all fully internalized into the system (no exposed wiring).
9.    integrated assistant's microscope with motorized zoom and focus that can be configured to be linked or adjusted independently of the main observer.
10.    , image inversion can be activated from the programmable handgrips or the foot control panel.
11.    non-contact fundus viewing system, the surgical microscope can be configured such that activation of the fundus viewing system automatically results in activation of the inverters and any affiliated user profile settings (light intensity, starting zoom and focus values, etc.) to speed transitioning between microscope setups optimal for anterior and posterior segment visualization.
12.    Brightness of the illumination can be controlled from the programmable handgrips or the foot control panel.
13.    Integrated floor stand
14.    Compatible connection for Resight Posterior viewing lens

15.     the main surgeon must be able to see the most important system parameters, such as working distance and light intensity without leaving his/her surgical position via an overhead display system.
16.    control all video functions from the central, touchscreen user interface.
17.    integrated slit illuminator with selectable slit widths of 0.2mm, 2mm, 3mm and 4mm which can be controlled from the programmable handgrips or foot control panel.
