OSD Laser Scaling Plan
The Department of Defense, Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)), issues this Request for Information (RFI) solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Government is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. This RFI supports OUSD(R&E) informational planning activities. Submission of information by a responder hereunder is entirely voluntary. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request or pay any costs for the information requested incurred as a result of a company or organization providing a response to this RFI synopsis. The Department reserves the right to use information, which has been voluntarily provided by responders, without compensation, as part of OUSD(R&E) ongoing efforts to refine the OUSD(R&E) Directed Energy Roadmap.
