OFF SITE BACKUP STORAGE (Services)
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is VA118-16-R-0926 and is issued as a request for proposals. Proposals are due to be in receipt by this office not later than 02/16/2016 at 3:00 PM EST. Bidders must address each item in their proposal that was addressed in the solicitation in order to meet the requirement. The North American Industrial Classification System code for this effort is 518210. The estimated date of award for this action is February 28, 2016.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Institute of Standards and Technology, National Archives and Records Administration, National Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) has a requirement for off-site data storage services for the seven VA CMOP sites located in: Charleston, South Carolina; Chelmsford, Massachusetts; Hines, Illinois (IL); Lancaster, Texas; Leavenworth, Kansas; Murfreesboro, Tennessee; the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) center in Hines, IL and the National CMOP Information Technology Program Office located in Tucson, Arizona. The CMOP program is seeking the services of an insured, licensed, and bonded facility or set of facilities for its off-site data storage requirements. Each CMOP, and the PBM center, require off-site storage for approximately 700 open individually slotted media. The National Data Office requires off-site storage for approximately 4,500 open individually slotted media.
The proposed action is for a firm-fixed price contract with three, 12-month option periods for the procurement of off-site data storage services.
