This agency proposes to issue a solicitation for a long-term strategic/sole source contract which will include multiple NSNs to support the A-BE; CH-47 Turbine Engine (T-55) weapon systems. A total of 24 NSNs are targeted to be added or repriced for this contract effort. The proposed sole source action will be issued to Honeywell International Inc., Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) codes covered by this acquisition: 91547 and 99193.The proposed action is intended to be on a sole source basis with various contracts issued to other associated CAGE(s) as supported by a J&A IAW FAR 6.302-1 "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements".


The proposed contract will be for a total of three years period of performance as follows, ordering period three from 30 October 2019 through 29 October 2022. Letters expressing interest in subcontracting provided to the contracting officer will be forwarded to the identified OEM. This is proposed to be a FAR 15 effort. The attached lists of NSNs are the items that have been identified for this current action. If other NSNs are subsequently added, as defined by the terms of the contract, they will be synopsized separately.


These items are being added to contract SPE4AX-14-D-9401, a multiple year, Requirements Type Contract (RTC), awarded to Honeywell International Inc. CAGE Code: 02LU7 in accordance with the originally approved J&A. However, the NSNs identified here were not included in the list of original items synopsized for this effort. The contract requires supply of parts, as well as other functions including but not limited to inventory management, forecasting, distribution, storage, reliability improvements, engineering maintenance and design control affecting these parts.
