OCA Single Audit Assistance
The Department of Human Services wishes to meet its BEP goals. The Department of Human Services wishes to contract for assistance to its Office of Contract Administration to monitor the fiscal and administrative compliance of funded community service providers. Specific areas of support and assistance can include: 1) complete a DHS-specified review and appropriate follow-up of assigned Single Audit reports (approximately 530 received per year); 2) complete a DHS-specified analysis of assigned standard audits and prepare a standardized report (approximately 1,000 received per year); 3) clarify generally accepted accounting principles for non-profit organizations, governments, and other entities as requested by DHS; 4) provide general and specific guidance on labor and tax regulations and similar issues of concern as identified by DHS community contract monitors; 5) assist in the design and production of various computerized reports utilized by management for control and process monitoring. The successful bidder must be able to provide sufficient knowledgeable and consistent worker(s) ito complete each work area. The heaviest workloads between November and February for desk review, although year-round assistance needed, which must be done on-site in the Department's Chicago office. Items 3, 4 and 5 may be done from any location and are on an as-needed basis throughout the year.
