Nutritional Analysis for Meat Products
Vendors responding to this Request for Proposal shall meet the following minimal requirements described herein in addition to the terms and conditions outlined elsewhere. No changes in scope are to be conducted except at the approval of the Department of Correction.
The Vendor Shall:
A. Perform Nutritional, Mineral, and Vitamin B analysis on Meat Samples. Analysis package must include a minimum of the following:
NLEA Fat, Including Saturated and Trans(M)

Vitamin C (M) Total Dietary Fiber(M) Sugar Profile(M)

Ash(M)

Carbohydrates(by difference)

Sodium(M)
Digestion
Zinc
Magnesium
Phosphorus
B1(Thiamine)
B2(Riboflavin)
B3(Niacin)
B6(Pyridoxine)
B12(Cyanocabalamin)
B. Provide the required services on the following fifteen items which shall be delivered for analysis:
Breaded Chicken Pattie
Onion Beef Pattie
Breaded Beef Pattie
Breaded Vegetarian Chicken Flavored Pattie
Breaded Turkey Pattie
Turkey Sausage Pattie
Salisbury Steak Pattie
Ground Beef
Turkey Pattie
Seasoned Veal Pattie
Turkey/Beef Meat Loaf
Breaded Cajun Turkey Pattie
Breaded Chuckwagon Pattie
Breaded Veal/Beef Pattie
Ground Beef/Turkey Mix
C. Produce analysis results within 15 days of the date the purchase order is awarded.
D. Provide analysis results in a tabular format in both hard copy and electronic medium (CD Rom) forms, stating each result for the required analysis.
E. Designate a contact person and contact information to verify and consult with regarding analysis results.
